Salesforce PRM
Salesforce PRM, without a license for every partner
Partners refer and register deals in a portal on your domain. Approved referrals land in Salesforce with the partner attached, and what closes in Salesforce pays the partner automatically.
- Two-way Salesforce sync
- Partners free and unlimited
- Sandbox orgs supported
The Salesforce integration is in beta and turned on per account. Ask for it when you start a trial.
Why teams look past Salesforce PRM
Salesforce runs your pipeline. Running partners inside it costs more than licenses. Four things tend to stall a partner program built in Salesforce.
- Partner licenses add upSalesforce's own PRM is licensed per partner member or per login. The more partners you sign, the more the portal costs.
- A partner portal is a build projectSomeone has to design the site, set up sharing and keep it working as your org changes. Partner programs rarely get that admin time.
- Paying partners still happens somewhere elseClosed won tells you a deal closed. It doesn't approve the commission, invoice it, pay the partner or collect their W-9.
- Attribution depends on fields reps fill inA partner lookup on opportunities only works if every rep sets it, every time. Partners can't check it either.
How it works
Partner.io sits beside Salesforce, not inside it. Your sales team keeps working in Salesforce. Partners work in your portal. The sync keeps both honest.
- [01]Connect SalesforceAuthorize a production or sandbox org, then choose whether referrals sync as leads or opportunities.
- [02]Map your fieldsMap each referral question to a Salesforce field and add any fixed values, such as a lead source.
- [03]Partners refer in your portalPartners submit referrals and register deals in a portal on your domain. Approved ones land in Salesforce.
- [04]Salesforce decides the outcomeStage, amount and status flow back, so commissions are calculated from what actually closed.
The sync
Built for real Salesforce orgs. Record types, currencies and sandboxes are handled from the start, not discovered after go-live.
The full detail is on the Salesforce integration page. The integration is in beta and turned on per account.
- Which org
- Connect a production or sandbox org with Salesforce OAuth, so you can test the sync before it touches live data.
- What referrals become
- Salesforce leads or opportunities, with the partner attached. New leads can also sync as contacts where contact sync is enabled.
- How your org is set up
- Multi-currency, record types and product schedules are detected when you connect, so synced records fit your org.
- Which fields they fill
- Map your referral questions to Salesforce fields, and set fixed values that are written on every sync.
- What comes back
- Status, stage and amount, so commissions are calculated from what actually closed. Notes sync both ways.
- When something breaks
- CRM settings show when the last sync ran, let you run one on demand, and list connection problems with how to fix them.

FAQ
Salesforce PRM questions
- Does Salesforce have a PRM?
- Yes. Salesforce sells Partner Relationship Management as an Experience Cloud product, licensed per partner member or per login. Partner.io is an alternative that keeps your sales team in Salesforce and gives partners a separate portal, with no license needed for each partner.
- How much does Salesforce PRM cost?
- In October 2026, Salesforce's pricing page listed its Partner Relationship Management edition at $25 per member per month, billed annually, with login-based pricing also available. That is per partner user, on top of your Salesforce seats. Check Salesforce's current pricing before budgeting, as rates and discounts vary.
- Is the Partner.io Salesforce integration available now?
- It is in beta and turned on per account on request. Mention Salesforce when you start a trial or book a demo and we will enable it, then you can connect a sandbox org first to test the sync before it touches live data.
- Do partners need Salesforce licenses?
- No. Partners never sign in to Salesforce. They use your Partner.io partner portal, which is free for partners in unlimited numbers. You pay $79 per seat per month only for members of your own team who sign in to Partner.io.
- Is the sync two-way?
- Yes. Approved referrals sync to Salesforce as leads or opportunities with the partner attached, and status, stage and amount flow back to Partner.io, so commissions follow what actually closed. Notes sync in both directions, and account mapping reads your accounts from Salesforce.
- Does it work with Salesforce sandbox orgs?
- Yes. You can connect a sandbox org as well as production, which is the safest way to check field mappings and record types before you switch the sync on for real.
- Can I use Partner.io with HubSpot or Pipedrive instead?
- Yes. HubSpot and Pipedrive sync the same way and are available on every account, so you can move CRMs later without rebuilding your partner program.
