Partner.io is a platform built to help businesses manage and scale their partner relationships. We want it to be a trustworthy, productive environment for everyone who uses it. This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules of conduct that apply to all users of the Partner.io platform — Clients, Authorised Users, and anyone else who accesses the Services.
By accessing or using the Services in any capacity, you agree to comply with this AUP. If you are a Client, you are also responsible for ensuring that all Authorised Users you invite to the platform comply with it.
Capitalised terms used but not defined in this AUP have the meanings given to them in the Client Terms of Service or the User Terms of Service, as applicable.
You must use the Services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those of the State of California, the United States of America, and any other jurisdiction from which you access the Services. You must not use the Services to facilitate, assist or encourage any activity that is unlawful in any applicable jurisdiction.
You must not upload, submit, transmit, distribute or otherwise make available through the Services any content that:
Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene or otherwise objectionable
Is discriminatory or promotes discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, disability or any other protected characteristic
Promotes or facilitates violence, terrorism, hatred or illegal activity of any kind
Infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks, patents or trade secrets
Contains another person’s private or personally identifiable information without their explicit consent
Is sexually explicit or pornographic
Is false, misleading or deceptive, including content designed to impersonate another person or organisation
Contains unsolicited advertising, promotional material, spam or any other form of unauthorised solicitation
You must not use the Services to:
Gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services, or to any account, system or network connected to the Services
Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of any system or network without authorisation
Circumvent, disable or otherwise interfere with any security feature of the Services
Introduce, transmit or distribute any virus, worm, trojan, malware, ransomware or other harmful or malicious code
Conduct or facilitate phishing, spoofing, credential harvesting or any other fraudulent activity
Scrape, crawl or otherwise systematically extract data from the Services without our prior written consent
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Services
Build or assist in building a product or service that competes with the Services
Resell, sublicense or otherwise commercially exploit the Services without our prior written consent
Use the Services in a way that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our infrastructure
Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services or the data contained within them
Harvest or collect contact information or other personal data from the Services for unsolicited communications
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must:
Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with anyone else
Use the Services only for their intended purpose of managing partner relationships
Ensure that any information you provide to us or submit through the Services is accurate and not misleading
Notify us immediately at support@partner.io if you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account
You must not create accounts by automated means or under false pretences, or create multiple accounts for the same individual user.
5. Data and Privacy
You must comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws when using the Services, including in connection with any personal data you submit, process or access through the platform.
You must not use the Services to collect, process or store personal data in a manner that is inconsistent with applicable law or with any individual’s reasonable expectation of privacy. This includes, but is not limited to:
Collecting personal data without a lawful basis for doing so
Using personal data for purposes incompatible with the purpose for which it was collected
Retaining personal data for longer than is necessary
Sharing personal data with third parties without appropriate authorisation
If you are a Client, you are a data controller in respect of any personal data you process through the Services. Please refer to our Privacy Policy (partner.io/privacy) and the data processing provisions of the Client Terms of Service for more information.
Partner.io is a platform for building and managing partner relationships. All users are expected to conduct themselves professionally and in good faith in their interactions with other users, partners and third parties through the platform. You must not:
Misrepresent your identity, credentials, capabilities or the nature of your business to any other user or partner on the platform
Use the platform to engage in predatory, deceptive or manipulative practices toward other users or partners
Interfere with another user’s or partner’s business relationships or opportunities in bad faith
Use contact information or other data obtained through the platform to solicit users or partners outside the platform without their consent
You must respect the intellectual property rights of Partner.io and of third parties at all times. You must not:
Copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from any content on the platform without appropriate authorisation
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices from any part of the Services
Use the Partner.io name, logo or branding in any way that implies endorsement or affiliation without our prior written consent
8. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any conduct that you believe violates this AUP, please report it to us as soon as possible by emailing support@partner.io. Please provide as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation, the users or content involved, and any evidence you have.
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. We will not disclose the identity of anyone who reports a violation in good faith.
9. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. If we determine that a violation has occurred, or is likely to occur, we may take any action we consider appropriate, including:
Issuing a warning to the Client or user concerned
Temporarily suspending access to the Services
Permanently terminating access to the Services
Removing or disabling access to any content that violates this AUP
Notifying and cooperating with law enforcement authorities where we believe a violation involves criminal activity
We may act without prior notice where we consider the violation to be serious or where delay could cause harm to the Services, other users or third parties. Our decision to take or not to take enforcement action in any particular case does not waive our right to take action in similar cases in the future.
If you are a Client, you are responsible for violations committed by your Authorised Users. We may hold you accountable under the Client Terms of Service for any breach of this AUP by an Authorised User you have invited to the platform.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time as the platform evolves or as new risks emerge. We will notify Clients & Users of any material changes by email. We will notify Clients of any material changes by email, and updated versions will be posted at partner.io/acceptable-use. Your continued use of the Services after any update takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised AUP.
11. Governing Law
This AUP is governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this AUP shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Orange County, California.
